Full Seminar Title: Chicano/a Identity in Global Perspective. This seminar will explore the nature of Chicana/Chicano identity in American society, examining issues of kinship, religion, race/color, ethnicity, and social class. Attention will be given to the way immigration generationally shapes identities, and to the impact of Mexico's proximity on them Seminar will meet Jan. 19, 26; Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23.
